Spectacles case from Qing dynasty (China) for storing a pair of foldable glasses.
The wood surface was covered with black lacquer.
Through time, a rich and full black color was formed.
Just pull the thread through the small hoop, the case can be tightly closed. It can be carried around the waist.
There's a sticky note at the inner bottom with English texts, showing that spectacles at that time were imported goods.
